The AeroFix™ 406 GPS I/O P-ELT features an internal GPS, ACR’s exclusive FastACQ GPS technology and an external GPS optical interface, the AeroFix™ 406 GPS I/O P-ELT gives the user unparalled versatility. This P-ELT can include GPS coordinates in the emergency satellite transmission via a handheld GPS, using the optical interface OR using the onboard, internal GPS built right into the P-ELT. The internal GPS aquires LAT/LON when the unit is activated (if externally obtained GPS coordinates are not present). ACR’s FastACQ technology relays accurate GPS information to the satellites faster than all other internal GPS P-ELTs. Your LAT/LON are transmitted providing rescue agencies your exact position to within 110 yards (100 m).

The ACR AeroFix™ 406 P-ELT sends a personalized signal to satellites in orbit telling Search & Rescue personel; who you are, where you are, and that you are in a life threatening emergency. It is easily stored in a pack or mounted to the bulkhead. You can carry it all the time. At a mere 5.71" H, 3.03" W, 1.74" D, and weight of only 12 ozs. This is the smallest and lightest P-ELT around. The ACR AeroFix™ 406 P-ELT also comes standard with a durable rubber 'holster' which allows the user to attach the P-ELT to webbing straps, carabiners, D-Rings, PFDs, belts or climbing harnesses. Flat stainless steel antenna wraps compactly around the unit for easy stowage; is easily positioned when needed.
